Pet Health Checker

Please use our Pet Health Checker tool to help you decide if your pet’s symptoms require immediate attention or if you should continue to monitor those symptoms at home. To get started, click on the dog or cat to identify which type of pet you have, and then enter your pet’s symptoms to continue.

Digital Radiology

Our NEW state-of-of-the-art digital radiology offers our patients the very highest quality when it comes to images and radiation safety. It can also save time. We can view images in a matter of seconds after they are taken. Radiographs are recommended in many circumstances when your pet is not feeling well.

Digital radiology gives us a sharp image of the inside of your pets’ bodies. In some cases, digital x-rays can eliminate exploratory surgeries or other invasive measures.

Unlike some other types of imaging, such as X-rays, ultrasonography does not use radiation. Instead, ultrasonography uses high-frequency sound (ultrasound) waves to create a picture of what is inside your pet’s body. Ultrasonography is a completely non-invasive, painless way to diagnose and evaluate many common diseases.

Our doctors are skilled at using ultrasound to identify many diseases, cancers, and other illnesses.

Dental Care and Oral Surgery

We advocate for at-home oral-health routines, ideally focusing on daily brushing. However, in many cases, dental disease in dogs and cats progresses to a point where teeth need to be extracted or treated with advanced dental techniques. Along with thorough dental cleanings, we offer comprehensive dental surgical services but may also elect to refer to a board-certified veterinary dentist when the circumstances require it.

Wellness and Preventative Care

We want to be your partner in your pet’s care during all stages of life. Communication is essential like any relationship, and we hope you find value in your pet’s annual exams and check-ups. Bringing your pet to our clinic for physical examinations is crucial to his or her health. We offer thorough physical examinations so that we can detect any potential problems before they become major problems.

Soft Tissue Surgery

Soft tissue surgery is a large subject, as it comprises any surgery that is not orthopedic. Procedures can range from simple cyst removals to complex and involved operations. Areas covered include ear, nose, throat, gastrointestinal, urogenital, skin reconstructive, and oncological surgeries.

Routine Spays/Neuters

Spaying and neutering your pets can reduce the risk of problems such as certain cancers and tumors and unwanted behaviors. This will also reduce pet overpopulation and the euthanasia of unwanted strays. Spayed and neutered pets live a healthier and longer life, and we’re proud to provide this service at Bayview.

Geriatric Care, Palliative Care and Pain Management

As your pet ages, we’ll be there to make a personalized quality of life assessment and assist with pain recognition and management of any other health issues he or she may have. Our team is here to work with you to ensure your senior pet stays as pain-free and comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

In-house and Referral Laboratory
Our NEW in-house and referral laboratory capabilities at our animal hospital allow us to perform many important lab tests quicker than we used to. We are equipped to perform complete blood counts, blood chemistries, pre-anesthetic blood work, wellness checks, and more here at Bayview.

We also work closely with a local laboratory to send out many routine and/or advanced laboratory samples if needed.
